1 Degree Digital Elevation Model [DEM] of the United States

A Technical Data CD-ROM

For ease of use, a simple HTML hypertext indexing system is included. This hypertext index will allow you to rapidly identify the standard USGS long filenames and our equivalent DOS compliant short filenames for any desired 1° DEM data file. To view the indexing system click HERE. BEWARE!! The first image in this index may take a while to come across the Internet. Its a 502Kb JPEG image of the US. Be assured that it works much faster directly from the CD-ROM.

The cost of this set of two CD-ROMs is $45.00 (US). This must be purchased as a two CD-ROM set. This price includes shipping and handling by first class mail in the US and Canada or airmail for international orders. Be aware that for international orders, there may be a minor customs charge when you pick-up at the post office.

When ordering, please choose between a version with UNIX long file names or a version with DOS 8.3 compliant file naming.

On the long-names version of this 2 CD set, data files are stored on the CD-ROMs in alphabetical order: the first CD-ROM contains DEM files starting with A thru P; and the second CD-ROM in the set contains file names starting with Q thru Z; CD-ROM 2 also contains all the data files for Alaska.

On the short names version of this CD set, data files are stored on the CD-ROMs in geographical order: the first CD-ROM contains DEM files for the southern half of the US to include Hawaii and Puerto Rico; and the second CD-ROM in the set contains DEM file in the northern half of the US. including Alaska.
